I'm an author, performing artist, producer and lecturer.

I've been an improvisational performer since 1974, having discovered the form at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Though my parents were professional actors in Minneapolis, the scripted stage never interested me, and I pursued working at Renaissance Festivals across the country.

In the years I've performed and managed shows, I've become a student of experience creation, of creativity, innovation, and radical engagement.

In tandem, I developed a voracious appetite for reading research and books on leadership, economics, innovation and creativity.

I have combined these interests and began consulting with organizations on how to create deeper connections between employees and those they serve.

In 1998, I began working with Charthouse Learning, an educational documentary film company, and their film Fish! Fish! has become an international phenomenon and has afforded me the unique opportunity to apply my experiences as performer, director, and business literature addict.

This has lead to collaboration with author Steve Lundin, in writing "Top Performer" (released by Hyperion in 2008) an allegory about the ideas of street performing applied to sales and service.
